Gerome had spent hours with a code that appeared to be an unsolved puzzle for him, with each error being a roadblock in his path. It was then that a senior mentor stepped in and guided him through the process.
“My mentor’s advice and support made the solution seem much easier to implement, and I successfully fixed the issue with newfound confidence,” Gerome says.
Throughout his time at CriticalRiver, Gerome found himself supported by exceptional mentors – leaders who imparted valuable insights into the intricacies of work and also instilled important lessons in resilience and effective communication. They taught him to approach obstacles not with fear but with curiosity, to see mistakes as stepping stones rather than setbacks.
“Mentors at CriticalRiver are very patient and understanding. They take the time to guide us through challenges and are always mindful of our individual capacities and learning paces. Their ability to explain things clearly and offer support has been invaluable,” says the associate CC&B developer.
Standing at the threshold of his career, Gerome looks ahead with a purpose. He aspires not only to refine his own skills but also to become a mentor himself and pass on the lessons he had learned.
“Don’t be afraid to try new things and always feel free to ask questions when you need help. Mentorship is a powerful tool for growth, and seeking guidance is a sign of strength, not weakness. Embrace it and never hesitate to learn from those with more experience,” says the mentor in the making.
